Teaching and learning with living heritage in Ukraine 1

The UNESCO project Supporting the resilience of Ukrainian school children through enhancing awareness of their living heritage was realized in Ukraine since November 2022 till July 2023. The initiative, funded by the Heritage Emergency Fund was implemented by the Development Centre ‘Democracy through Culture’ (accredited for the UNESCO Convention 2003) in cooperation with the UNESCO Associated Schools Network in Ukraine and the Living Heritage Entity, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine,  Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the UNESCO National Commission of Ukraine. 12 Ukrainian school took part in the project, most of which represented UNESCO Associated Schools Network. The scientific and expert support was provided by the Institute for Cultural Research of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine and the UNESCO Chair for scientific education at the Ukrainian State M. Drahomanov Univesrsity. 

The project resulted in the Resource Kit “Teaching and learning with living heritage in Ukraine” (in Ukrainian), 11 case studies of living heritage introduction in the curriculum prepared by school teams on base of their practical experience (in Ukrainian and English), two versions (longer and shorter) of training film.
