On October 9-11, in Rijeka (Croatia) the 1st General Assembly of the Association of the Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends has taken place. Since 1998, the Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends (www.culturalpolicies.net) has been a joint venture between the Council of Europe and the European Institute for Comparative Cultural Research (ERICarts), in collaboration with independent national experts and specialists from over 40 governments in Europe. In October of last year, the Compendium transitioned into a multistakeholder Association. At its First Assembly, the Association has discussed ideas about new content, collaborations outside of Europe and the necessary statistical information in the policy profiles. Compendium experts have told about their current expert activities and considered new grid. Oleksandr Butsenko, Ukrainian Compendium author, in his contribution has proposed to include into the new grid data and/or facts about the intangible cultural heritage, that is, programmes, policies, achievements and best practices of UNESCO Convention 2003 State Parties.
